god the energy on cavalettas' intro/outro is unbelievable. this album has a lot of moments like that, the newer drummer really adds to it, dude's a monster.

Yeah it's kind of a good thing the band lost two drummers before recording this album because Thomas Pridgen's energy is exactly what it needed.

I first heard this when it came out and I've listened to a lot more experimental & psychedelic music since then, but this still stands as one of my favorite albums I've ever heard. Omar and Cedric are at the top of their game and each individual musician delivers a powerful, otherworldly experience. Album reminds me of the "Pop" version of Bitches Brew.

probably because of the nonsensical lyrics and the wankery

and i say that as someone who likes tmv

there is so much energy to the performances, esp the vocals. i cant fathom to dismiss this as JUST wankery

De-Loused is still about perfect, but the ambient passages on Frances aren't up to snuff.

This was the closest thing they did to a atd-i record back in the 00's.
