This band is terrible. How come they are getting such higher ratings than AAR or some other pop punk group like that? At least AAR have some redeeming qualities to people who don't like the band. This was the biggest waste of a CD I ever thought I should purchase. And contrary to the review (which you did write well, I just really don't like this band) nearly every song sounds the same, and it's all whiny.

They are definitely way more consistent. AAR's last record was pretty lop-sided and full of duds. So far, these guys have proven that they can make an album without letting up on quality.

yes, it's perfectly executed catchy pop punk, and that's all you really want if youre getting something like this right?

I guess that's just what I disagree with; I think it's very poorly done punk pop that isn't catchy at all. But I guess whatever floats your boat, I don't wanna attack anyone here, especially over pop punk. I get enough of that from my hardcore "indie music is the only music that matters to anyone in the whole world!" friends.

One of the best pop-punk bands of their type with this being their best album. Their songs are quite strong musically, aren't shallow like many similar artists and sound sincere and meaningful despite being about typical teenage themes. We the Kings is a very catchy release with many different styled songs being put into this album. This is probably one of those albums that you might think are a bit poppy but is hard to resist anyway.

The self-titled debut LP from Floridian pop-punkers We The Kings may not be the most inventive album you will ever hear, but it sure does achieve its objectives. Filled with infectious, sing-along cuts from beginning to end, there are plenty of irresistible hooks to be found here. Furthermore, the tight musicianship, sincere lyrics & sleek vocals are always energetic, enjoyable & have an almost charming positivity that makes them very difficult to dislike. Sure, there could be greater variety evident, but with the album lasting just 34 minutes, even that is sufficient. Recommended Tracks: Check Yes Juliet, Stay Young, All Again For You & Skyway Avenue.

they remind me of yellowcard: nothing that you can point at and go "hey these guys are really talented", yet you can't help but love them anyway

Yeah, nice comparison.

Hey, Australia just did what America usually does... 'Check Yes Juliet' just charted down under... That's 3 years after its release!

So are these blokes touring or something? Because they are getting way overplayed on the radio.

Yeah, they were at SoundWave. Very popular & actually were pretty solid live for the music they play.

But I have no idea where 'Check Yes Juliet' came from 3 years after its release.
