Manskinner is nasty...it just barely missed out being on the rec. track list.

N' Breeds weakest effort, without doubt. Their older releases rules, but this one was a bit too modern I think. Some tracks is promissing, but the overall feeling is that this really doesn't do it for me. The last songs is the best.

I've got the rest of Nocturnal Breed's discog, and this is their best IMO.

I have the remastered box set, but this one is by far the best.

Fields of rot is the best thrash album in years. It's thrash, but with so many great surprises on every song. The only disapointment is that it took so long to find it in shops. Does anyone know what the new lead guitar player have done before? His solo work is just CLASSIC!!!

SOH,
I took your recommendation into consideration when you said to check these guys out for 'best thrash metal album' on my '10 Best Metal Releases for 2007' list. I still enjoy The Absence more than this simply because I felt there wasn't much variation in the songs. But hey, thats thrash for ya hahahahah! I must say though, your recommedations for thrash are still amazing!

And now you just need ExMortus :D

Checking that out right now. I will give Fields of Rot another listen though since it was a solid album. Ok, the first song on their myspace page is incredible. Maybe The Absence might take a back seat to this album when I can get my hands on it. Editing of my Top 10 list might happen. This Message Edited On 01.01.08

You have to order it through them on their myspace, 13 bucks and that includes shipping. Support them :thumb:

I just checked out some places online where I could that ExMortus album. Nothing! I will have to order from them. I enjoy my large cd collection and I think this and ExMortus would make a fine addition to it.

Thanks for welcoming me. What I meant about the guitarists solo work, is actually the solos he's playing on Fields of rot album. I think it's amazing and was wondering if anyone can recommend anything else he's been playing on? At times he sounds pretty bluesy and jazzy (check out Scything Harrow) which is so rare and still fit in on an album like this. It says on their web-site he's been in Crest of Darkness, but I don't think he's on any of their albums. Can't wait to see this band live!!!

Crest of Darkness eh? I'll look into it, and yeah the solos on this are great, especially on "Iron Bitch".
You get to see these guys live soon? Lucky :p
