Portishead's 2nd album has more variety when it comes to vocal styles, but this one's more emotionally draining, which is great

^Disagree with it being more emotionally draining. This is depressing, but the s/t is suffocatingly gloomy

s/t seems like personally, a lot of the lyrics are historical, whereas on Dummy's it's all about how she feels. At least that's my take

Oh gotcha I was referring more to the sound I guess cool cool

Superb album, need to get on their second one hard.

"nah, it'll probably be in the 3 years or so"
Third came out in 2008. If it's in the next three years, it would be eleven years in between albums like with the s/t.

I'm kinda interested to see how they would have progressed if they made an album every 2-3 years
Like what they would've came up with after the s/t and stuff but Third is awesome so I guess it worked out

I'd assume for the fourth album, it won't sound anything like Third like Third was nothing like the s/t
