Except there are several eras of Voivod. You can't exactly argue that Killing Technology is the same kind of album as The Outer Limits and some may prefer one or the other which is why going over their whole discog is an understandable thing to do: to see if one album appeals more than another. This seems to be the same case with Converge as well, if to a somewhat lesser extent than Voivod.

Rowhaus why is Killing Technology on your list of best thrash albums if you rated it a 1.5 or whatever just curious

@jester Voivod and Kreator didn't use to bother me so much (PtK is also on there). They're still hugely influential thrash albums even if I personally don't care for them anymore.

Rowhaus fair enough with Voivod I guess, I’m a bit biased because I love the band so much. But a 1 generally means that an album has no redeeming factors whatsoever, so you’ve gotta do some mega justifying if you’re gonna decide to rank an entire discography that low especially one that has nearly universally high ratings, Converge for example. I’m all for people feeling however they want to feel about a band but it definitely looks bad to other people in a case like that. A lot of people rate highly praised albums low out of spite which can have a negative effect on the average, which I’m guessing is why the mods crack down on people who do that.

Yet another reason why I’ve chosen to just not rate anything lol
