This album has lost its initial goodness to me...I really wanted to like it cause System is one of my fav bands, but this is really mediocre for Serj's potential. It's still good every now and then tho.

...This isn't nu metal in the slightest. In all honesty, it should be filed under the rock section of this website. It's only here because of Serj's previous work, which was ALSO not Nu-metal. SOAD were more alt-metal, and comparing them to the likes of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit is just shameful.

How SOAD and Korn are alike I don't know either.

I think it's because they got really, really popular right around the time that down-tuning guitars and turning up the gain became radio friendly, and they just got shelved into the nu-metal wave with everyone else.
