An album that is bloated and feels a little phoned-in at points, but still contains some of the band's best songs

KFAD = HTTT in that regard

yeah, Angel Dust is innovative and stuff, but I found this to be the bands more mature record. it is genuinely straightforward

also, it's the only album in which you can find lyrics as these:

"what a day what a day if you can look it in the face and hold your vomit"

I actually think HTTF is a great comparison if you're going with a Radiohead analogy (which I think is

a good analogy)

it works chronologically, if we're looking at Introduce Yourself as The Bends (more conventional

record for the genre/scene i.e. funk metal and alternative rock), The Real Thing as OK Computer (still

rooted in genre characteristics but perfected and incorporating a progressive/experimental touch) and

Angel Dust as Kid A (just a completely off-the-wall and flat out bizarre record, both for the genre

and by the major label status quo).

Pretty fun subject, especially comparing each album's relative success against it's counterpart.

In such cases I regret that I can't give a 5.1. Lol. Rating madness.
