I'm not saying they're not all great tracks. I 5'd the album, I just think it doesn't have quite the impact of most of the others. it might grow on me though.

Digging: Devictus - Mercury Haze

Artificial Paradises is amazing. Fraility is pretty good. Lets Kiss is fucking great also.

Let's Kiss is brilliant, but I think it feels slightly odd on this album. Maybe better on an EP. I really love the song though.

Jm, yeah we do :D I don't know much else you listen to other than Hammock though, but I bet you have epic taste.

JS, I typically would agree, I am not typically one for tracks that seem to have no place on an album, but I don't see that track as being too much out of place. Also, with 19 tracks on the album, it's good to have a nice change-up every now and then to keep the record from dragging

I think with 19 tracks of, let's face it Hammock's strength is not exactly diversity, the record is

kinda trying to lull you into a sort of haze. It's more of one long experience than a load of tracks.

I just feel that track kinda rips you out of that.

Probably why it gets so much hate, even though it's a quality track?

album artwork does suck but Kenotic is the first non-godspeed post rock album I've actually really
enjoyed so I'll have to give this a listen at some point
