The one thing that has always held me back from truly loving BtBAM is that I feel like the tend to write amazing parts in decent to good songs, and that lack of consistency bothered me. That being said, I'm gonna check this out.

Solid Review.

I can't stop listening to Sun of Nothing and Ants of The Sky.

Perhaps it is more consistent because everything was meant to be one track. I second Kirgasm

This record is by far their most consistent. I totally hear you with that, BTBAM was always kinda cool to me but I couldn't get into it as much b/c of Tommy's horrid screaming. He sings clean a lot more on this and even the screaming is listenable. There's some truly epic stuff on this record though, I think you'd definitely dig it.

So far, I've found it to be pretty amazing. Easily a 4.5 for me at the moment.

BTBAM has always been a "parts" band, at least from TSC on. That's why this album both succeeds and fails; it masks the entire album as one long track, so the parts seem more cohesive, but those very parts are almost too reminiscent of albums past.

Well I still kind of like how they combined elements from both of their previous albums, to make something so cohesive.

I've gotta say, I'm about halfway through this, and it's not doing anything for me. So far it's a 3 at best, but who knows.

EDIT:Alright, maybe a 3.5 but only because of the instrumental sections. This Message Edited On 09.08.07

this is my first BtBAM cd, and I really like it.
would the silent circus or alaska be a better second one to listen to?

Alaska has a cool intro but then the rest is just meh.

I totally agree...Although I have to admit, the openning 30 seconds of Alaska is the only reason I ever bothered to buy the CD - I had never checked into the band prior to that - so that is certainly saying something.
