I love the backing vocals on this a lot, they seem to be absent from MLIW's other releases. I'm guessing it was a different line up or something

They had a different guitarist and bassist on this album. I think those backing vox are from the bassist who only appeared on this album

Ah i figured. Even without the backing vox this album would still rule. I do feel it added a extra dynamic to the sound though.
The avg is toooo low for this album. This is easily 2nd best MLIW. Although not as good as a whole, Imo at times this has moments just as good as if not better than anything on Witness.

I for sure find this more memorable than Fever Hunting, which I still consider good but also their
weakest. I'd really like to see MLIW make one more album.

I've been kind of disappointed by their reunion. They mostly just play festivals and a couple of dates here and there. No tours bums me out

fever hunting was meh but getting a chance to finally see them was awesome

Album Rating: 4.5
Fever Hunting was about on par with My Love but it lacked the memorable lyrics of their old material and it was too formulaic. I never get the urge to listen to it the way I get the urge to listen to their first three albums but I do enjoy it whenever it comes on
