i actually know what you mean drifter. gfunk shits on 99% of new york crap because they just loop simple samples rather than actually crafting an album filled with performances and song arrangement so there are almost no bangers. but this is one of the few sample albums that pulls it off perfectly and intelligently. no bangers per se, except all caps i guess. but an extremely well crafted album nonetheless. madlib is from cali so he knows what's up with crafting a good beat.
