No, it doesn't sound like Opeth. It's much better than Opeth.

i love this album alot at the moment. It is definitely meant to be listened in one go rather than in short bursts like AATG

I just got this and am loving it. I think i may like it more than ashes against the grain, and i definately like it more thanb pale folklore (which i also just got)
The Shdow of our Pale Companion and She was but a Ghost in My Arms are plain epic awesomeness. Though nothing from agalloch beats FIre Above, Ice Below off AATG for me atm.

Pale Folklore is their best. This album drags too much compared to it (as well as AATG).

Surprise, this band is from Portland and not from somewhere in Europe. Great music on this album though.

This album is very boring compare to their masterpieces "Ashes Against The Grain 4.5/5" & "Pale Folklore 5/5"

Jesus christ, how can anyone say this album is boring. If you are looking for chug-a-chug, straight out death metal 32 notes a measure then why are you even listeining to agalloch? This is their best, but not the one I listen to the most because I prefer to listen to it as a whole, so much time is needed.

Excellent album, though I feel like the last 3 songs are weak in comparison to the first six.

My least favorite from Agalloch, because it does seem to drag a bit.
That being said, "In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion" is one of my favorite songs ever...perfect song, and it's ironically the longest on the album, yet it doesnt drag on to me.

This album is amazing, but Pale Folklore is better. :p
