I hated everything they had done until I heard this album. Certainly their best to date.

I was going to pick this up, but after seeing this, I reckon I might just give it a skip.
Nice review by the way.

I liked them a ton until I heard this album. Something about it just turned me away from them; I haven't listened to them since.

You should still dig out The Art of Balance. And in all fairness, The War Within. Both are stellar albums.

Agreed^^^^! I think I may dust that album off and listen to it tonight. I gave this album another shot the other day and I think my rating is going down another notch!

Another Lost Hero is so different from most of their stuff. i like it a lot, but still shows how good this band is in both aspects, as 'the war within' is my favorite cd by them.

I don't know what you're smoking that you'd give this album a 2.5 because it's great. "Storm Winds" is the best song SF has put out.

I'm sorry but reading the beginning of your review actually phyically pissed me off. You're bashing the album cover? Are you kidding? On another note I think this album is way better then a 2.5 At least 3.5 I agree Fair is much worse on this album then previous releases but he does shine in some songs, Another Lost Hero for example. There are many songs on here that would fit right in with TAOB or The War Within.

I always thought this band was bad, but this album takes the cake.

I don't think Brian's BAD on here... But his vocals used to be absolutely INCREDIBLE, so it's very difficult to remain objective about them. It doesn't help that All That Remains just started getting big before this was released, Labonte's performance on TFoA just makes it all the harder to listen to Brian on here. The Art Of Balance and The War Within both show him better than Labonte's ever been, though. I just feel that those two albums are enough for me to say that I really like Shadows Fall, no matter how weak their future material is (and since I think that this is pretty good, I don't really see that changing).
