Oh wow I just heard Haze for the first time and it's a Korn song with a guitar solo. Weird.

"Evolution" is a bop

they tried some cool stuff on this album actually [2]

I hate this line: "Unless you're a diehard fan, don't bother with Untitled; it's not like Korn did", that's so far from the truth. Since I watched the making of for this album I started to really appreciate it more. Quite interesting in places, especially because it's Korn.

Bozzio's drum solo in I Will Protect You alone is a discography highlight.

I have fond memories of this album. It's not anywhere near as good as 15 year old me thought, but hey, I was 15 and this album was perfect for me.

I can appreciate this album. They were at a crossroads in their career and decided that, rather than play it safe and just do Korn-By-Numbers (which, regretfully, they did do 3 years later), they thought they'd push their creative boundaries and try some new stuff out, pushing towards a more gothic metal inspired sound. While it was pretty hit and miss, there are some really good moments on here. Jon then took this as a template for his solo record which was a bit more miss than hit.
