That's that then. In butters I trust and if it's seconded by yourself JT it's almost a certainty the thing rules. I'll put me order in.

a lot better than given credit for although it has its share of uninspired moments.
Larks IV and the title track are worth it alone

I also like Into the Frying Pan and Heaven and Earth. Really it's just the Prozack Blues that is just so horrible it taints the album lol

ProzaKc is a bit too silly but I think it translates a lot better in a live setting, but this argument could be made for this album in general. I'm keen to see how the current lineup handled it for the Heaven and Earth box.

construkction 2 atmospherically reminds me of an alt-rock 2000s band, but i can't figure out who it was. maybe a song in cave in's antenna, but it's been so long since i listened to that.

Remaster really brings this to life, dare I say it's the way it should've been.

I'm not sure what possessed me to spin this after ITCOTCK, but I actually really liked this after first listen. I'm kind of skeptical of how well it'll hold up on repeated listens

Damn I was wrong... after another go round still feeling the same. Into The Frying Pan and The World's My Oyster Soup Kitchen rule WAY too hard

Did you check the original with the V-drums or the new remaster with an actual kit? Absolutely different sound when you take a gander at it.

Whichever one is on Spotify. It didn't denote if it was a remaster or rerecording or anything. Sounds like v-drums to me

The remaster goes under the name of ReconstuKction of Light. It's on soulseek if you use that.

I might need to look into that. I also have a feeling that I wouldn't like this as much if I had all the bands work as context but oh well

Quite a miniscule discography compared to their contemporaries, which I think makes them a whole lot more accessible to a newcomer.

I will certainly be exploring more in the future. Mainly now that it's in streaming services. And will revisit this once I check some more of them

Album rules. The review is completely missing the point... Anything King Crimson post 77 could be dismissed with the argument of being cold and perfect. also funny to 1.5 an album because of its alleged emotionlessness but calling it 'dark' in the summary, kinda contradictive.
Actually lots of weirdness but little wankery. Only the title-track has its share of it.
I agree with that the album has a dark edge, also it's probably the most aggressive album in their history, making it sound quite maniacal at times.
oyster, fractured and larks being my favorites of the album for exactly that reason.
