I shouldn't double post but this is directed at Fort and I'm posting again in case he
missed it. They really arn't much like Converge. Their vocalist has a similar scream
delivery that is very emotional but this band focuses on being epic and sad as much
as being angry. You should really check this and blessed out though Fort. You'd
probably like them. This Message Edited On 07.23.07

Now that some of my original awe over this album has worn off I realized my rating was a bit premmature. I might edit the review a bit to reflect this...but maybe not the album's still damn amazing.

I'm really not to sure which I like better anymore. This is a much easier listen, to me at least, but if I'm in the right mood Blessed really blows me away.

the lyrics on this are so fucking emotional and heartfelt. I'm also happy these guys let me make an unofficial myspace so I could put up tracks from this album.

not a good question.
Blessed Are The Bonds is post-metal
This is screamo.
Matters which one you like more. They're totally different in regards to the music actually played.

I feel that the album as a whole has the same feel as an Isis album, except instead of a lot more focus on guitars, they have more focus on string instruments (cellos, violins) and piano and use those to build up their climaxes (the Tomb Song, the Water Song).
They also seem to follow the same structure of a simple song to very complex at the end (the drumming in the Tomb Song becomes crazy at the end).
Next time don't say lol like a dickhead and expect a serious response.

what? post-metal is progressive (avant-garde also) to a point, has very little use of vocals and dwells on the simple to complex song structure.
Blessed Are The Bonds shows pretty much every trait of post-metal.

I really find that post-metal is pretty metal with an extremely large post-rock influence if you're going to say that. With that argument, then what is Isis?
Isis is post-metal, we can all agree on that. Their songs have a gradual song development, little use of vocals, is progressive, distorted guitars and all that jazz. Does that make them an emo band with a huge post-rock influence?

but envy speaks in japanese chan, they're not on the same continent! point disproven.
I find them to be closer to Isis than Envy if you were to put it on a number line or such. I guess that's just me though.
