I agree. I should honestly 5 it, especially with the bonus tracks too. Sci-fi-ish with symphonic elements and tasty Beatles/Beach Boys flavours and some pretty terrific production values (Ticket to the Moon!).

This is like a sci-fi themed love letter to the Beach Boys and I love every moment of it. Fans of this should really check out Secret Messages too, especially since they finally released the intended double album version last year. These two albums are my favorite part of the ELO discography.

Secret Messages is kinda lame and I doubt a double album version would fix that. At least they were able to bounce back from Discovery with this, but Secret Messages really started their decline.

Yeah it has that reputation as it is a very quirky and varied album but it's killer track after killer track for me (it now has 17 songs). Loser Gone Wild for instance is an easy discography highlight with the constant tone shifts imo despite the barking before the first chorus (a pretty exceptional chorus I'd add). Or the tenderness of Stranger, so soothing.
