This is not nu metal in any way. Anyone who thinks this is nu metal is ignorant. They shed away the coal chamber influences after the first album.Speed metal, melo death, nu metal: how bout just metal. They cant be pidgeonholed into any other genre but metal, just like Chimaira, Lamb of God, and Shadows Fall.

so are you saying they were the best band there? or just the loudest? I can't imagine Dez's screaming would be better than Howards singing :D

I'm thinking of giving this album the proper review that it deserves. This review just plain sucks. Probably one of the most underrated albums of 2007 (in metal at least).

Do it, this is a good album but my expectations were cut short with this album. It was lacking the dark feeling that "The Fury Of Our Makers" had. Grinfucked, Hold Back The Day were sick.

Yeah this album is a definite improvement on The Fury Of Our Maker's Hand, plus I think that the band try to change things up a bit and add new elements.

I like the keyborad/church organ style outro of The Axe Shall Fall.

Plus Not All Who Wander Are Lost & Head On To Heartache own.

This cd is so solid. One of my fav's for 2007 thats for sure. Not digging the keyboard outro of "the axe shall fall" though, that was stupid..

Wrong.

It was released July 31st, 2007. It must be an error in the database on sputnik.

Haven't heard all this, but I enjoy DevilDriver so I'll probably be looking into this. The single with the cheesy music video is really cool. Not All Who Wander Are Lost I think is what it's called?

Albums cool but didn't strike me as much as TFOOMH did. That album was incredibly dark and ominous, Grinfucked, Hold Back The Day and the title track were just furious.

I think overall though, TLKW had more re-playability. But Grinfucked is an intense song TBH.
