just below this and alongside still life

i love the longer heavier tracks but a couple of the mellower ones just don’t do much for me

weather also plays a factor in terms of when i want to listen to a particular album and how much I enjoy it

for example it has to be below freezing on a clear night with snow on the ground for me to want to listen to orchid

It almost never snows in my area. I wish it would

Freezing cold and snow are clear indications to get on MAYH, Morningrise and Orchid for me as well. This atmosphere fits these early albums so damn well.

I listen to My Arms, Your Hearse in spring - early summer, Morningrise is annually, Blackwater Park is an Autumn thing for me, Deliverance is the coldest time of the year, Damnation is annually, Ghost Reveries is summer - autumn, Orchid is spring - summer, Still Life is summer only, Watershed is winter - spring, Sorceress is the time of year when Dragons take over New Jersey and Pigs fly.

Lol Aiwaz your love for Sorceress is tangible. I’ll def won’t spin it in winter but when spring prevails I’ll probably be in the mood for it again.

Some call me a liar, some say I am an asshole. I hate Sorceress. Sure I've lied many many times, I'm not proud of it. I've been an asshole since 2012. These things have nothing to do with why I hate Sorceress. It is a rushed album only for mainstream market and it is unlistenable. I can understand why people like it, wait... no I can't understand why this was even recorded. It sucks. Fuck, I guess I'm an asshole.

No man, you can hate an album with a passion and not be an asshole. And Sorceress is a great subject for this.

Assholes unite! Let's start an asshole club only based on the hatred for Sorceress and we can flame each other along the way.

All good man, way better to dislike an album and saying so than to feign interest for the sake of being in line with the majority. Being honest is the only way for sure.

And btw. most on sput don’t like Sorceress that much so it’s more that I’m in the minority here as I really dig it quite a lot.
