Nickelback sucks, but this album has a few decent tracks by Nickelback standards.

This is a decent album. Take Nickelback's name and the overplayed radio singles out of the equation and nobody would hate it this much.

Nickelback is one of the main reasons I quit listening to the radio. That and Three Days Grace and Avril.

I think I gave Nickelback a 1.5 instead of a 1.0 because they seem to be suckers for punishment, which I can respect.

I remember too bad being a pretty cool song...that's about as much praise as I can give this however.

Easily their best album, and im afraid the description 'mainstream rock' seems to hav been created because of their albums after this one. it is a shame to see them go more mainstream but that is what sadly happens to many bands these days. i still credit them as being a very good band but i feel they shud hav carried on the trend set by their first albums up to and including this one. anyway on the subject of this album it is filled to the brim with raw, amazingly distorted guitar riffs and is definetly one to listen to...

Listen to Never Again and Too Bad and then throw the rest in the garbage.

"I think this is the first really negative review I've seen on MX"

lol MX jeez that must've been a long time ago. Album sucks majorly. "Never Again" is terrible. The

only thing worth the extra 0.5 is "This Is How You Remind Me" (it's a good think I avoided it when it

was always on the radio, I guess?)

I'll never understand why credit is being given to "Too Bad" and "Never Again" on this site. They're both really bad IMO.

Too Bad is so much better than anything else they've ever done.

It lacks any catchiness to me, and that's all Nickelback has ever been good for as far as I'm concerned.

It actually has some emotion in it unlike most of their other stuff (same goes for the album as a whole).

ttb, you're probably right and I'm probably not giving the album a fair shot. Not that the band deserves even that.

Well you don't need to bother giving it another shot or anything. I just think this album in particular takes too much flak even if it is pretty flawed. Regardless of the "worst band in the world" comments I still think they have some solid songs scattered throughout their discography (not Dark Horse).
