this is the most fun, instantaneous placebo album

I remember being really surprised at the lightning-speed, exuberant nature of this album after having only heard Without You I'm Nothing and maybe Sleeping With Ghosts

it was never my favorite, but there's definitely something special & raw about it that you never really heard from them again, at least on record

then again my favourite track here is I Know, which could be a WYIN track if it was less raw
