Whoa. Yeah, this is their best. It dips into some heavy The Gathering territory at times.

This was good, but I don't think it's even in the same realm as Misery Is a Butterfly... at least not from listen #1

Album Rating: 4.7
this vs. Misery is a tough one and I don't rly think there's a Correct Answer. Misery gains a lot from the continuity of its sweet sweet creepy chamber palette and those fractured emotional overtones, but I think this wins out on more varied and overall slightly stronger songwriting
sometimes I feel like I'm holding my breath the whole time when I jam Misery (mostly a good thing), whereas this has this really refreshing feeling where each track is a minor departure from the one before. plus it helps that half of it's a grower

this and misery are equal, both slap so hard

Album Rating: 4.5
ooh, this is wonderful too, interesting misdirection / development after Misery!
I was curious about their origins, so I'm also jamming the debut... which although seems like quite the stark departure, makes more sense than it maybe ought to thinking about it (plus the outro is a fleeting nod to their future destiny)... yeah, wrong thread etc.

Debut slaps tbh, mostly great krauty SY worship from end to end but yeah lol it's wild where they went from it
Dip into In An Expression... if you really wanna get that sense of artistic development good n fucked up
