I think this album is getting better with every listen. And without distinct despicable filler to be found.

Why isn't this the default review?

Nick's review reads like a rant

Yeah and it's completely wrong

he hates tons of good stuff, can't tell if he's always doing it on purpose or he legit hates all sorts of fantastic stuff

Into the Hollow is gorgeous

Used to not like this album so much, but it's grown on me the last couple of years. Into the Hollow, Misfit Love, Suture Up Your Future and River in the Road are the underrated gems here.
Such a great feeling of filth and chilling out from this album, I think.

I want to add I'm Designer and Run Pig to that list

Jamming this atm, kinda forgot Make It Wit Chu had that creepy outro/transition to 3's & 7's lol.
Might even bump this to a 4.5 idk.

Into the Hollow is gorgeous yeah

Album grew on me significantly, but even during my first listenings I considered Turnin on the Screw one of my favorite QOTSA openers. Song goes hard as fuck.
So many damn cool places this album goes.

So close to 4.5ing this...
Battery Acid is a jam and a half. Interesting guitar noises.

Jamming it atm lol. Not a single weak moment here I think, this album has definitely aged pretty well.

Did Neeka bump this up too recently? Could have sworn he had this really low.
|
| |
He always had it at a 4 I think, or at least that's what I saw since I bumped this thread.
3's & 7's might be one of their best straightforward, succinct rockers. One of my first qotsa jams also.

I adore every song on this (though some took more time to grow on me for sure)

This album actually surprised me with how much more I like it nowadays compared to a long time ago. I would've agreed with some of the criticism towards it years ago, but now I really dig the grimey and heavy atmosphere they went on with this.
Part of my change of opinion might also have to do with many people constantly comparing their last album to this in reviews, which made me feel really curious. Wouldn't call this album their best (Rated R will always be my favorite of these guys), but I do hope it gets more appreciated with time.

This album was a high-school staple for me and my crew so I never got the hate it got on sput

I had no idea people disliked this album until I came to music sites like this and RYM. Used to think this album just wasn't my thing, some songs aside.
