well it's no through silver in blood but I'm gonna give it some time before making my conclusion. I mean I didn't care for given to the rising the first few times I heard it but it grew on me.

if your 9th album matches the best in the genre for the year it comes out I'd say you're doing pretty damn good

people were expecting a heavier gttr but i knew that wouldn't be the case. they already surpassed limits in music and never had to prove themselves to anyone else, I know as well as they knew from the start that as a musician I would never want to repeat my work, there's no point. honor was just another way of experimenting their sound.

Yea, but we were expecting at least something rather really high quality nonetheless. Like I said, not bad but definitely could've been better. One thing that is really good is it can serve as an accessible album for people to get into this band though.

i really don't think it's possible to fully appreciate honor without seeing those songs live

"we were expecting at least something rather really high quality nonetheless."
they already worked at experimental extremes without sacrificing integrity or sound, no point in going
back to primal doom, dark ambient, and tribal sounds when it's been done. that's what the "high
quality" expections. that or at least gttr 2.0.
and I'm not gonna defend it all the way, like i said the live setting of the songs translate better
than the record.
