they are close which is why I used this one as the comparison.....for me, this is pure bred Neurosis and unfortunately shit like that matters to me......the new one is amazing for sure but i don't care what any of you say, it lacks that same pedigree......an amazing all around album and a worthy 5 but it will never be top 5 'Neurosis' album for me......not a single second of a Neurosis record should sound like an ISIS passage, hence, my 4.5

Nah I’m with ya. Like it’s almost impossible for a band to release a record as good as their new one and that not be the best in their career but neurosis have so many unreal releases. New one is a 5 all days incredible. But their top 3/5 are unbelievable and hard for anything to top. But it’s all just subjective and they have such an incredible catalogue I wouldn’t argue with anything at 1
