Hallowed Land is brilliant yea. what would be the most similar albums by other bands to this one or Icon? I'm really in the mood for some gothic, but little more up tempo and rifftastic like this.

Almost every mid 90s album has a little bit of Paradise Lost in it given the band's influence back then. The following come to my mind even though I'm not absolutely sure you'll love them:

Tiamat - Wildhoney

Moonspell - Irreligious

Saviour Machine - Saviour Machine I

The Gathering - Mandylion

Therion - Theli

Lake Of Tears - Forever Autumn

Rotting Christ - A Dead Poem

Always thought Yearn for Change was underrated. Love that bluesy riff

This is definitely one of the most iconic metal covers of the '90s alongside The Black Album, Rage Against the Machine, Welcome To Sky Valley, etc.

Gonna jam Icon tonight. This is still only the second PL album I've heard, got a lot of ground to cover.
