so good live, their drummer is one of the best and i cant believe dave can play the stuff he does while he's singing

Ya he's pretty sensational. I think what he does can be even more impressive than the Thomas Erak / Claudio Sanchez shred and sing. I can play and sing some of the ridiculous moments by Fall of Troy and Coheed and Cambria, because the vocals and guitar sync up and are arranged so it's not too miserable to play and sing, but Maps and Atlases is so downplayed by comparison it's hard to do.

yeah the drummer (Chris) impressed me. After the gig I asked a drumstick of his and got one haha! Had a few words with the bassist Shiraz as well. Nice guys.
But the atmosphere was so crap and the crowd was so lame...
I asked them weather they were dissapointed with the audience. They said "no, I mean it's the first time we play here so.. uhm.. usually we have a bit more people though."
There was about 50 people, seriously! This Message Edited On 10.16.08

INTRO TO EVERY PLACE IS A HOUSE SOUNDS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE 40 RODS TO THE HOGS HEAD.
good cd and acurate review, his vocals aren't really coheed and cambria though, it's lower and more shaky if you get me.

for some reason the riff in 'every place is a house' reminds me of a banjo. Does anyone know if the lead singer talks similar to how he sings or is that just pure affectation??

this album is sooo good, i just listened to it again after like six months. first time i heard them was with tera melos in SF for like three dollars, and i thought they were awesome but i literally laughed the first time he started singing. saw them again with the fall of troy and my friend's dad got dave and the vibes girl to sit with us. really cool guys. this makes me want to dance.
