Squalor Victoria is amazing, never saw how anybody saw it as a weak point here.
Does the rhythms and instrumentation on the song Brainy give anyone else shoegaze/post-rock vibes?
I don't know about shoegaze, but the guitar tone on that song is sort of post-rock-ish I guess. The songs themselves are not post-rock at all but there are occasional hints of it, in the album's more atmospheric moments - the scratchy, droning guitar in the background of Slow Show, for instance.

This is awesome yeah, Slow Show honestly nearly made me cry, love ‘Strangers’, Brainy & Ada as well, amongst others.
