I'm pretty sure they are changing their name. Yeah, this album is okay. Haven't really listened to it a whole lot. I like a few tracks though.

They lost all their members again. They're definitely changing their name.
However, I wouldn't say they're imitating an old style. The past two albums have been pretty divergent.

This band seems pretty cool I'll probably check them out and the new "hopesfall" too when that comes out. This Message Edited On 10.01.07

God damn what's with all the member changes?
I'd say this is still a 3.5-4. Sattelites is probably still their best.

Monster review, very well written. This sounds pretty interesting and the one song here on Sputnik sounds decent enough; I'll look into this.

So I'm finally really enjoying this album. Where the Christ is Jay Forrest right now?

I need more Hopesfall I think. I am really digging this quite a bit. I should probably give it a higher score but it's one of those things where the best songs are just head and shoulders above the weaker ones. Where should I go from here?

RX Contender The Pretender is pretty much amazing, and one of the best post-hardcore songs yet.

i've been giving this album a listen every now and again, but i can't really get into it.
i like a few songs from A types, but i none really stuck with me, it was mostly forgettable IMHO.
I can't find the strengths to this album, i've been a fan of hopesfall for the longest time. I did hear some of the HUM influence that i felt went missing in A types, but it seems more of the same after a while.
While upset, i'm kinda relieved that they're broken up now.
and yes, i liked TSY and NWTSO, in fact, i love No Wings to Speak Of. Same for The Frailty of Words.

I forgot about this band

This is really damned good.
Not as good as their first two, but only just. The good tracks are some of the best post-hardcore ever written IMO.
Rx Contender, East of 1989 and Bird Flu are amaaazing.

agree with comments on underrated. This CD appealed to me out of nowhere. A-Types was such a flop compared with the 4 or 5 tracks I liked on Satellite Years. I used to only listen to the first two songs, but with more and more listens embraced the whole CD. It's got a consistent flow and spaceyness that I can't get away from. The chorus in Bird Flu - "We are just a dream... How we used to see" is just surreal. I have a feeling this album will be returned to more and more in the contemporary heavy music/progressive/appealing to the masses scene.
