Nice picks. Repeating this, from the last page... 'Crow, Dog & Pony and Porno Star are all superb.'
Dear Sput, your absurdly inactive review threads for important releases is often frustrating, but occasionally convenient.

Oh yeah. I sometimes despair to see some thread being bumped, but I really like when I bump a random thread and there's one dude who's also really into the record at the moment.

Yeah it just stays in the pocket, but has all of this character. Steve Albini's vaguely offensive rants. The drums that always just groove to the end of time and never get too busy. The fantastic bass playing. The legendary metallic guitar tone with the aluminum neck and metal pick.

@dedex: understandable because that album is insanely good, seriously becoming one of my all-time favourites. I still owe tect that 5/5 come to think of it.

Btw Shellac and Drive Like Jehu have totally different sounds. I get different things from each of them even if I feel like they could definitely be enjoyed next to one another. Like a Shellac, The Jesus Lizard, and Drive Like Jehu tour would be the best thing ever.

@dedex: I made a list just in case.
Yeah I get a totally different things as well to be honest, was just saying DLJ rule so all’s good, I can kind of see why hearing this would make you reach for Yank Crime, but ultimately they scratch different itches for me personally.
