I live in crappy Pennsylvania, and this is the first time he's coming here (to Philadelphia to be exact) in a long time! Can't wait! Where are you gonna see him?

I'm a big reggae/folk fan

When you have the internet, nothing is impossible.

Yeah, they're mad popular down under aren't they?

Don't know if I'd say mad popular, but they are pretty popular. This album didn't actually reach #1 when it came out, it got to #2. I think it has reached #1 since though, after one of the new singles was released. Still I wouldn't think they would get played much on the big commercial radio stations, although I wouldn't know; I don't listen to that crap. They are pretty popular among the young people, which is to be expected I guess. Most people 20-30 years old will have heard the name John Butler at least.

Well you might be saying that it should be "pretty madly popular" but this is not colloquial usage. "Mad" can be used as an adjective and an adverb in colloquial language.

I heard this at a party this weekend, and at first listen it sounds tight. I wouldn't expect anything less. I'll look further into it later.

Yeah that is sick hey, it must have just got enough votes because I haven't seen it there before. And I think rightly so that it's up there, a brilliant album... can't wait 'til I see 'em, only 7 weeks now.

Your right, this just might be the album of the year so far. Everything is a perfect mixture of blues, funk, and acoustic music. I don't know why, but I can't quite give it 5 stars yet, but it may grow on me so who knows.

Geez, it was amazing. Everything you could expect, and then some. Butler's 10 minute guitar solo was, ah, awesome. And the drum solo was one of the highlights of the night. They played heaps of older stuff that I didn't expect, like Pickapart, Ocean and Betterman. Great night.

Holy shit, did he play Ocean? I was going to see them in Perth but it's on Sunday night and I have school the next day so I can't make the trip there and back. Oh, and this album kicks. Better Than is sick.

i like sunrise over sea better than this, even though this is more consistant, some of the songs on sunrise over sea i like more (peaches and cream, what you want, sometimes) but still, best aussie album along with the vasco era.

more oz music dammit!
