This is Brian Wilson own "Blood on the Tracks". Their most underrated album for sure.

Brian sounds like Landy has a gun to his head in the studio. I despise how dated this sounds. I love synths, but don't give them to The Beach Boys.
This is far more cringe inducing than even the worst of the early surf records.

This record reminds me of an angry speed vacuuming trucker who can't get over some old flame and can't do anything but reminisce in his cab. Like, it's an album with silly songs and love songs and shit like 'solar system' and 'ding dang', so it should be lighthearted? But it sounds more like the soundtrack to someone on the verge of a mental collapse. It's like a slap in the face to their legacy, but damn it Brian found the moog and he's writing songs about girls again and we can't let him just release a solo album without us so now this weird-ass underrated brick in the shaping of new wave is just in the Beach Boys' discography
I'll Bet He's Nice is really catchy. 7/10

Really enjoying the dread and horror on the group delivery of ' GODDD PLEEEASE LET US GO ON THIS WAAAY'
