The pacing of this album is sublime. They really executed the ramming of your man-parts with such precision, that the resulting pain is barely noticeable

if anthology was a full length i truly think it would have even exceeded the quality of this album
they were something special that has been often initiated but never duplicated

Jane Doe's better, but they're very different records. Calculating Infinity's a hair below both.

So pissed the tease today was for a live album lol. Of course its gonna rule but I would've loved a lil Botch EP at least

Honestly, I think American Nervoso is better. Just pure riffage.

Opposite of December best metalcore ever for my money. Can't disagree with any of the other picks here tho

My housemate got me onto that album and it for sure slaps. My favourite metalcore album is definitely One of Us Is the Killer though. Its what got me interested in the genre as a whole.

One of Us is the Killer is radio ready mathcore and that’s what I love about it

Yeah, that album perfectly blends accessibility and the insanity of mathcore. To the point it feels like a natural mix lol.

Really need to remember to revisit that one. It's the Dillinger album I've spent the least time with. Prancer is a such a banger

OOUITK is bettered in every way by OP for "accessible tDEP" - plus a handful of tracks from MM/ Ire Works that already presented that side of their sound. I feel as though most of the key ingredients were already fully realised and almost perfected by that point. Least essential Dillinger
"Jane Doe's better, but they're very different records. Calculating Infinity's a hair below both."
I mean splitting them isn't easy, but I return to this the most now. Last time I revisited Jane it wasn't quiiiite on a par with this, yet it has been a firm fave for a long damn time. This one was a much slower grower. You're right tho, in that they offer very different things, so I guess my yearning for said "things" has probably just changed over time
Calculating is definitely third, as timeless and awesome as it is, because it isn't necessarily even my fave tDEP these days. It trades places with OP regularly

Miss Machine is my Dillinger pick. Axe to Fall is my Converge pick. Jane Doe and Calculating are standard setters tho no doubt

I'm relieved they only announced a live album instead of new music lol
