These guys are vehement about not reuniting. Prefer it that way, they won't pollute their legacy

20 years and this record is still fresh as fuck, putting everyone else to shame

Calculating Infinity is slightly better for me, but this is still a hard 5. Anyone like the band Scarlet?

Seizures can’t hold a candle to these guys tbh
|
| |
I wouldn't say cant hold a candle, their works are both pretty great, I'm taking botch any day but if seizures really came into themselves more and made a couple more albums, who knows

I just don’t find Seizures nearly as innovative. They’re good at what they do but they aren’t reinventing the wheel or anything. At least not yet

Botch is undeniably a genre classic but as far as modern metalcore bands Seizures is the top dog imo

Right, it’s only taken me nearly a decade and a half but think I finally get this album. Not exactly immediate, ha. Maybe it’s because I’ve been checking more old core stuff in recent times. Honestly don’t remember it being this varied or experimental, which is weird because I tried revisiting it since (relatively recently) to no avail.

Seizures basically carry Botch torche in the way of keeping the genre Botch created kinda alive.
|
| |
Yes there aren’t many other bands doing that’s style right now and they’ve definitely put their own spin on it

Omg do not stain botchs name again by acting like seizures is the torch bearer SERIOUSLY BRUH
|
| |
Considering Seizures’ last two have been near-perfect and there’s no better metalcore band doing the sound justice right now I have no problem saying they’re carrying the torch for 90s-influenced mathcore while also doing their own thing
|
| |
botch were a norma jean ripoff anyway
|
| |
Omfg this is absolutely dreadful jesus christ
|
| |
yeah it's in the 2.5 range i'd say
|
| |
Better songwriting than zao and it ain't even remotely close
|
