Okay, so they released two songs before the album came out. One was awesome and had this great organ drone in the background and apparently they recorded it in this special cathedral and it was awesome. Then their other song had this annoying repeating piano rhythm and just plain ate it. So which was does the album slide? Towards the cool song or the miserable one?

No Cars Go is wonderful, I think I'll get this, if just out of curiosity to see how they follow up Funeral.

Antichrist Television Blues and Black Waves/Bad Vibrations are awesome.

Doesn't stack up against Funeral but not much would.

Early contender for album of the year. Im sure it will make my top ten, Funeral is better but only by a little and this is still effortlessly superior to most everyone else in the indie scene.

So I was in the store, and I was planning on buying it. Then it came on over the radio and I was like "hey, this isn't that good", so I put it back.

True story.

Good review.

I think the album really suffers due to the way it was mixed/produced because it just sort of blends together too much and the vocals need to be brought forward more in the mix.

Overall, still a great album though.

it just sort of drones on and on. and doesn't anyone write songs anymore? and for being "indie" i've heard it all before. not very original anywhere. meh....sounds like the eighties....and not in a good way...wearing its influences all over its sleeve....This Message Edited On 03.06.07
