Damn you to hell john a hanson/iluvatar...was gunna review Ten by these guys and didn't see ur review for this till today and it's pretty much the same as mine in terms of context (plus one lame wrestling joke for me and urs obviously has the coolness factor a mere mortal such as myself couldn't hope to reach)...i shall be re-writing now and will prob post in the future...
guess i hav to get this as well beause Ten is some sick shiznit

album's alright but really doesn't do much for me...maybe i just have to listen to it more but the combining of EPs makes it feel too disjointed for me and it just doesn't feel as polished or mature as Ten, which i guess brings with it appeal as well but i'm a guy who's big on production and crispness...

It isn't like Ten is "big production and cripsnes".
Sure this album is more sporadic than Ten, but its not a far cry from this album.

Idk, i feel this album stays much closer to hip-hop with big twists here and there while Ten is much less concrete hip-hop and more a mix of everything with hip-hop purely as the backbone...
the production is better on Ten as well but you're right it's not insanely better, but a solid improvement...plus Physics of a Unicycle is greater than great...i have to listen to this more though because i'm sure it'll go up and Ten was a big grower so this probably will need even more time

I'm gonna have to say I feel the opposite about the albums. I think Ten is more concrete, while this has more of a tendency to be abstract.

I ddn't word it right i guess...not concrete in the sense of songs, this album stays much closer to hip-hop...lotta rapping and more of a traditional hip-hop feel (and i mn that as close as cLOUDDEAD could be with regards to traditional hip-hop) while Ten though more concrete in song structure and nature strays much further away from hip-hop into almost indie territory at times.
I agree with the longer songs on this and the more for lack of a better word "meandering" approach, that this is a much more abstract record as a whole. This feels like the journey to find a sound while Ten feels like the arrival at the destination.

ok gotcha
But give this some time. It's a grower.
