The new album coming out this summer is supposed to be a mix of this and Dusk And Her Embrace. Which would sound killer because those are 2 of their best albums ever.

Just as long as it's better than Thornography. Hated that album.

I just finished listening to it. Sadly it had to end with Temptation, which i dont like that much.

No, havent heard the re-issue. Thornography is really the only one I can't get into. Nymphetamine is pretty close to being that way for me as well, but it grew on me a little. Does the re-issue have anything good to offer?

Yeah its very good. There's three new songs, not counting the instrumental or the covers. They are nothing like the songs on the regular Thornography. They are fast as hell and they all have solos in them and the drumming is blast beats mostly the whole time. They sound like older COF. Sort of like the stuff on this album, but the vocals are different than on this album.

Now why couldn't they have done that for the whole album? I'll have to find those tracks somewhere because I'm sure as hell not buying another copy. I hope youre right about the new album.

This was the last quality thing they've released, which makes me hold it higher then I would otherwise.

I think COF still releases quality stuff. Its just that the new stuff isnt as good as the older stuff.

Yea, a lot of people look down on the MTV polish that their newer stuff has taken.... though I can imagine some people do not like how they have shied away from their black metal roots as well.

I think all those roots will be back on the next album.

I don't mind studio polish at all, in fact I prefer it. I just loved the "soundtrack-ish" nature of their older stuff where it almost felt like you're watching a movie. This new stuff is just too conventional.

I completely agree. On the next album i would like to hear the mix of Midian and Dusk And Her Embrace like Paul is saying its going to sound like.

At the Gates of Midian leading into Cthulhu Dawn is so immensely epic, as is Lord Abortion. Seriously awesome CD.
