i think i might be over this band. they don't offer me anything that i can't already get from GY!BE, Mogwai, or Sigur Ros.
gr8 for entry-level post-rockers though.

couldn't disagree more. post-1997 mogwai is totally bland. with the exception of a few songs (sine wave, 2 rights make 1 wrong, white noise, drunk and crazy)

Sine Wave was good but one of the weakest tracks on Rock Action, 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong is amazing, White Noise is the 2nd weakest track on HWND, and Drunk and Crazy.... well, pretty much every track on that EP save for the intro was roughly on par with each other. They were all great but far from their best work.

sine wave gets so loud and intense. and white noise is incredibly uplifting/soaring/euphoric. and when you mean save for the intro, i assume you mean the intro was bad compared to the rest right? mogwai have some great songs (katrien is their best by miles), but the ratio of great songs to number of albums released is absolutely dire.
