This thing is really good. First EITS album I bought. Was walking through Borders with a friend and picked it up on impulse, just because I knew that EITS made good music.

"this band is like the poster child for why 90% of post rock sucks ass"
thats because all the bands that came after eits thought it was enough to just use pretty guitars all over the place. they neglected to tap into the narrative structure that made eits so special.
edit: and it's a lack of narrative structure that makes 'your hand in mine' one of the worse songs they've recorded since 2001. oh how i love to be controversial.

Album Rating: 2.5
what do you mean narrative structure? does it come with some kind of story or something? because i didn't buy this :]
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
haha no. just the way the music flows like a narrative and moves through different emotional tones. it goes from powerful to mellow and sombre so fluidly that it takes you (me) on an emotional journey. read my earth is not a cold dead review again, if you can stomach the hyperbole.
