next in line sounds like a b-side from follow the reaper in my opinion

and I don't get how people compare his vocals across the albums, they've always been more or less the sameThis Message Edited On 02.18.09

Yeah pretty much. Maybe a little more black metal sounding on Something Wild and Hatebreeder.

Not really his vocals are much worse on this and BD compared to FTR and Hatebreeder especially live

Vocally the albums are pretty much the same, Alexi can´t sing on any one of them but I think that´s kinda why I like them more than Kalmah for example

They sound the same to me. Never seen them live though so I wouldn't know about that.

CoB are really good live, at least they were on Stockholm Knockout live that was a really good DVD.

Anyway i might raise this to a 4, gave it my first listen in exactly a year and it was better than I remember, especially the song Next in Line, one of my favorites now. Trashed Lost and Strungout is still the best though.

I agree with your opinion about both songs but all in all this is just really bleh compared to their early stuff

Well, he's not the only one to believe this is their best. Hatebreeder is damn close, though. But then again, every of their albums 'cept for Blooddrunk is awesome.

Hawks you think this is their best?

Yep. Always have and probably always will.

I'm telling you right now, this is not their best album. Some of the solo sections on this are just plain boring. Something Wild has brilliant tracks like Touch Like Angels Of Death and Red Light In My Eyes that simply can't be topped by rehashed progressions with boring overproduced keyboard tones. I do like the band but this album is totally hit and miss.

My thoughts exactly..LET US BLAST HATEBREEDER!

If there ever was a reasonable guilty pleasure band, it's this one.
