I do not quite get how some people state this album is 'pop-like'. I know more than enough people I could play this record to and that would literally make them puke

Blood Brothers, pop-like? hah. ok. I don't have this album, but I enjoyed what I heard off of it. I plan on picking itup sometime.
Wouldn't that be cool, if such a simple thing as hearing a certain album could make a person puke? I would use that.

first of all ...it must be said...the blood brothers are the most diverse band to come out of their(for lack of a better word)scene today. they are not pop-like. if anything that isnt dark and brooding is now going to be called pop, then the music has died as has been said by so many before me. beautiful horses was by far the best song IMO. the shrieks are so intesnse and angry...and at the same time weird and musical. it builds to this out of control climax and erupts with the closing line ride in the show-pony parade, collapse and come in fucking last!!...the biggest dissapointment on the album was rats and rats and rats for candy. the music behind the dual vocals is a little repetitive and there is simply a lack of BB feel to the lyrics. anyways not bad review and keep em coming.

"Beautiful horses" is by far the most fun track on there. It has somewhat of a Polka feeling to it. Can't exactly pin down why, I think it's because of the main bass part.
Good stuff :thumb:

to tell the truth, i hate this album.
it's has well written, good songs but i really don't like the way the blood brothers progressed from such an amazing album like bpib to crimes.. a little too ac/dc for my tastes.

This album fits a lot of my moods. I tend to find myself listening to it more than BPIB because of how accessible it is. Really short, concise songs, whereas the BPIB songs are usually longer, and harder. This is a very pleasing album, and I don't actually dislike any songs, neither do I skip any songs.
5/5 from me.

Great cd, but i prefer the slightly less structure them in TAIR and my favorite by far, March on electric children

Uh... AC/DC?

lol, AC/DC
The more I listen to this, the more I dig it. When I first got it i thought it was pretty lame, but now it seems that the "br00tality" has been traded in for top-notch, intricate pop songs.

This is good, but doesn't touch on BPIP. I also think Young machetes is better.
Songs like Rats and Rats and Rats for Candy and Teen heat put me off a lot. I love the vocals though, when used right.
Trash Flavoured Trash is one of there best songs imo too.

Fantastic review. I would just like to add how much I loved your description of how Johnny and Jordan's voices compliment each other perfectly.
