Wait...........

Wait wait wait.

The 'music genius' just so happens to listen to every band the stereotypical 15 year old "punk/goth" would listen to.

EDIT: She has practically every crappy metalcore band in existence in her fav. list (aside from a few pretty good bands), and she considers herself a genius?
A true genius would not limit themselves to just one category of anything, even music, for example. This Message Edited On 08.19.07

I'm a girl. Does having a vagina make you superior? Sometimes. But not when music is concerned.

No more posts for her? No responses? Well, it may be past her bedtime. I hope we didn't send her to bed crying or something. ;)

Don't lie.

Nicely done review, along with a good rating. Sorry it took so long to acknowledge that.

First of all, i'd like to start off by saying i gave this album a 3.5 because it is far from being anything more. however, if this wasn't just an ep album than we could be talking up around 4 or 5. I strongly disagree with the original review and beneath the sky deserves so much more credit than being given in that review. to try and insult a band that has this kind of potential is just unfair, and with the release of What Demons Do To Saints, it is obvious that BTS has proved you wrong. Stating that this band is bland and repetitive is so far away from the truth its almost funny. However i then think about the person that said this and pity the fact that he has no taste in music. oh thats right, i forgot, you'd be better suited listening to bands like Atreyu. Hey dont worry, lead sails paper anchors came out recently and its Atreyu at their finest. Apparently people actualy bought this cd, however, i will say thats their problem. Returning to the topic of Beneath the sky, you can not criticise an extremely inspired and innovative band for raising the bar of metalcore and setting new heights for everyone else. The vocals are nothing short of incredible and the lyrics actually do have a meaning beyond the mere surface. It just takes someone with a little bit of insight to think for a little bit and dig deeper into the actual meaning. Beneath the sky and victory records have done an excellent job producing this ep as well as their debut album which is pure metalcore at its greatest, and anyone who would like to disagree can go out to the local record store and make a worthwhile investment in the new cd Avenged Sevenfold. a prime example of what happens when a band sells out. It is obvious that everyone who puts down BTS is ignorant and can just not comprehend the immensity and prominence displayed through an art form called music. Then again, i used to like Atreyu too when i was a kid.

I love it when people join the site just to rant and defend some shitty album. It's so adorable.

Well, you sound like a complete fool but, if it's any consolation, you made me laugh.

its not the album i am defending, its actually the band in which you obviously have no knowledge of. so before you write your next review, please consider other people's opinions, especially when yours is filled with misconceptions and you have no real support to back it up. you will never grasp the superiority of the music in which this group performs so dont waste your time listening to such works that you simply can not comprehend. Im glad you had a good laugh, maybe you should spend your time doing something productive.

Did I mention I find it even more hilarious when they get pissed off and continue a pointless argument?

It isn't my review, dude. And I'm afraid that there isn't a whole lot to grasp when it comes to generic metalcore, my dear. A shallow genre with equally shallow bands, save a few (but this band certainly is not one of those few).

Once you mature beyond the point of metalcore scene kid and you have heard all that metal has to offer, you'll be surprised how terrible most metalcore is. And no longer would you find yourself using words like "superiority" to describe these bands.

Wow.. I guess what i fail to yet understand is if you dont appreciate the genre then why are you wasting your time commenting on this review? I'm sure you would be better off voicing your opinions on "real metal bands" that are more "mature" and well above lowly metalcore bands. Oh yeah, and i forgot to mention, metal bands do the same exact thing that every other metal band is doing now and has already done for years and years. Atleast bands like beneath the sky are attempting to do something different and create their own style, instead of taking music that was created more than 30 years ago and call it modern metal. The metalcore genre is more than just a "scene" and it only takes someone with a small amount of intellect to realize that it is undoubtedly superior (im sorry i will use advanced since the word superior is too strong for you) than tasteless and ordinary metal. But hey, if your into bands with names such as Death and Carcass, then i guess you have the right to put down metalcore. Especially since these bands have far greater talent and originality as shown by the intricate names that they come up with. Atleast you can tell they must have put some thought into them. Probably more than they actually put in their lyrics.

Thank you for verifying your own ignorance with that statement. I was growing tired of doing it myself.

I will choose to end this here as this argument doesn't belong in this review and, for the simple fact that you possess neither the maturity nor the intelligence to continue it (as exemplified by your long-winded, misinformed, and ultimately meaningless responses).

Actually man, they wrote the song about their friend that committed suicide and his address was 7861 Blackthorne. That's not cheesy lyrics at all.

I made an account just to say how wrong and bad this review is. First off, learn how to spell. Second, you got the lyrics to 7861 wrong. "7861 Blackthorne! They found the body, hanging from the ceiling." Referring to the lead singers best friend when he killed himself. So how can you call them the worst when you can't even get them right? Beneath The Sky have so much talent as well. Listen to something other than there EP, which is a rough demo by the way. Fucking idiot.

Why is the recording quality on this EP better than on What Demons Do To Saints?
