Yea I’m surprised myself I didn’t came across this one already. Especially since the 90s were such an amazing time for metal, but then, options to find new music were a bit limited back then so I’m sure to stumble about several more gems of this decade :]

Weirdly I found this before I even listened to metal, and I think it was formative in my future love (I probably didn't get into metal for another couple of years). Its strange what music fate plops into your lap

Some albums definitely have a defining character when you first listen to them. For me Dream Theater IaW, Megadeth CtE, Anthrax AtL and Pantera VDoP where such records. Along with a whole bunch of others of course... Would be a great idea for a list I guess.

Ah, the good ol days... There are also some albums I desperately want fellow sputs to check out, but I’m always a bit reluctant as many of them only have very few ratings and a bad rating would totally drag em down on here. I know it’s stupid but I’d hate seeing em with a low average as they mean a lot to me, so oblivion sometimes isn’t the worst option I guess.

They were upbeat all gig and just paused briefly for that track. Reed had been out of the band for a while with injuries and substance abuse.

Funny thing about Pepper is that - despite the fact that he is an underground musician and not a high profile billionaire artist - whenever you go see CoC live, there are always dudes in the crowd who idolize Pepper to an extreme extent. Like literally begging for his handshake and screaming like a bunch of schoolgirls whenever he comes on stage lol

I couldn’t say as I was towards the back with other old farts. Pepper had the same cool laid back presence I’d taken from music vids, suits the aussie crowd. I think with most of the more popular rock/metal bands there are always fans gushing over the frontman. Crowd were similar at recent Obituary/Wormrot gig but a little more tense atmosphere.
