Jesse was perfect for Alive or Just Breathing. I can't picture Howard there, and I don't think those songs sound the same with him live - that said, Howard kills it on the albums he was with KsE. I remember my buddies and I all being super hyped when End of Heartache came out and hearing Howard there. I don't care much for Jesse's work when he came back though, honestly. KsE musically was a much different beast by then.

Thing is they pretty much perfected whatever they were developing by ADD, and after went a bit more hardcore punk with the writing. Thing is I guess people appreciate some the guitarwork for not being as interesting as before.

They’ve drastically simplified their guitar work and it just fucking sucks tbh. Adam’s style used to be really…. decorative for lack of a better term. He would fill empty spaces with quick little licks or something and now it’s bland power chord chugs and the same bluesy pentatonic bullshit. There is no melodeath left.
