I listened to this a lot, over time it just grew off of me. Planet Hell, Romanticide, Dead Gardens, and Higher Than Hope really lost their appeal. I listened to Nemo too much, got sick of it. The first two tracks are the only ones Im still consistently listening to, Ghost Love Score every now and then as well.
But I just got Oceanborn, havent listened to all of it yet though.

I am surprised Planet Hell lost it's appeal. That is my third favorite song.
To be quite honest, this will never lose any appeal to me. I may go a couple weeks without listening to it, but almost three years later with this CD, I am still in love.

Agreed, the album has been growing on me. I don't see why people complain about Tarja's voice. She has one of the top three voices (in the best in my opinion) in the genre and this is her most accesible album along with Century Child. You guys need to hear Oceanborn. it is killing me that I don't have End Of An Era yet. I need it.

I've been playing this alot lately. It's growing on me. Starting at the 1:20 ish part in Planet Hell is spectacular. The casual people who only know about Once really need to hear Century Child.

century child wasn't that good from what I remember, except for ever dream that was an amazing song

Na, Century Child is amazing. I still prefer it over this. This has some tarcks I like to skip but Century as a whole can be played straight through. + Phantom Of The Opera is ace. Oceanborn is their best however.

Oceanborn is really good, but there isn't a song on there that give it the IT factor imo. It still is an amazing album. Century Child is really good as well especially when it has Beauty of the Beast.
This just is amazing from start to finish. Even if people hate Wish I Had An Angel, it still is a good song and it is a nice in between track for Dark Chest of Wonders and Nemo.

This Nightwish album in particular has been the most challening of all, excluding Dark Passion. The first songs in general are amazing. I love the verse to I Wish I Had An Angel. I don't know man, Oceanborn to me is what Once is to you. Both albums were our first so it's not suprising which album is our favorite. Power Metal side vs Symphonic side.

Best album from NW in my opinion, but Century Child and Dark Passion Play come close.

Shame Nightwish just aren't that amazing, being pretty boring metal with an annoying singer

Bite your tounge Bleak, Nightwish aren't that amazing?. That is sacrilege to me man. Check out After Forever if Nightwish doesn't do it for you. DPP is good yeah, i admit it, i just love talkign crap about it. Poet chiming in with even more sacrilege. First Edguy poet, and now this? WTF bro. This Message Edited On 11.05.08

Aha, no Balls. I don't like the whole symphonic female fronted metal thing. It doesn't do it for me at all. And I actually prefer Dark Passion Play to the majority of their stuff so :p

Leoniadas is appeased, momentarily anywho. Check out After Forever man, that's a direct threat but the closemindedness on chicks in metal really give metal fans a bad name. it's not elite.
