Exactly football dude. Albums are more than the music. They are 'things' in the same way a book has a 'soul' just cos you don't like the odd minute here and there of a fucking mind blowing piece of work you're not going to credit it? Madness!!!

Way more goes into the overall quality of an album than just the music. Is there some extrinsic worth it has? Does it flow well? Is it an appropriate length? Etc. There can be less impressive moments that work well in the overall product.

Of course. I'd say rarely do you come across a record that maintains its level of pure excellence from start to finish. If you do, consider yourself a lucky man.

Worst song on Doolittle is Crackity Jones imo

Btw about ten songs into Mellon Collie for the first time and i'm being blown away. No way it can be this consistent over 28 tracks right?

Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, and Bossanova are all 5's anyway. Bossanova being the underdog of the trio of course. : )

On disc 2 'beautiful' and 'lily' are a bit underrated, 'thru the eyes of ruby' slightly overrated
