Wanted to listen to this, but this is a tribute album for a S. Bandera, notorious fascist supporter and killer of Jewish people. Fuck this band and Ukrainian white supremacist, worst of all kind. Just find out who the fuck is that guy. Even the title is about Jewish blood poisoning their fuckin Ukrainian wells. Dont have anything against music though. Oh yeah and i know about Ukrainians and Russians more than 99,9% of this site because i live here

Ooh that's not very nice. The music's too good though.
I always have difficulties with these kinds of double feelings. So many great artists, musicians, composers, writers, painters, directors, whatevers have had horrible ideologies and ideals, but I enjoy their work anyway. Hope you can see it apart from those who created it but I totally understand if you don't.

To all the bastards desecrating the memory of Bandera - he was a true national hero of Ukraine, never saying a word against Jews and never killing anyone. During the Second World War he was imprisoned by the Nazis because he declared independent Ukrainian state when Germany attacked USSR. Also, Organization of Ukrainian Nationalist that time was divided into two parts - supporting Bandera (who declared fighting both against Nazis and Commies) and supporting Melnyk (who declared supporting Germany to fight USSR). You can easily read all of that on Wikipedia.

I always feel I should know more about these issues before making up my mind about them. I do not know this guy, don't know the stories behind the title, etc etc. What I do know is that I really love the music here.

Wikipedia also states this though:
"Bandera remains a highly controversial figure in Ukraine,(20)(21)(22) with some hailing him as a liberator who fought against both the Soviets and the Nazis state while trying to establish an independent Ukraine, while some others condemn him as a fascist(23) and a war criminal(24) who was, together with his followers, largely responsible for the killing of Polish civilians(25) and partially for the Holocaust in Ukraine.(26)(27)(28)(29)"

Seems like Bandera was politically radical but had no real interest in killing civilians or deporting Jews, though the organization he founded eventually did so (largely while he was imprisoned). So it depends on how you weigh his personal actions versus those he inspired.
