Album Rating: 3.0

Despite having mixed feelings on the album as a cohesive whole since its release, the songs on it have been creeping up on me and, recently, I have been spinning it a few times. Yes, it's not God's gift to music or a lyrical masterpiece ("You know Pisces lowkey the best sign"? "I'ma hog the mic, take a bite, peek-a-boo thong"? These lines were... a choice), it's not even the most inventive and adventurous release of last year. But it's so much fun and youthful and the production is the absolute best aspect of it and mostly carries the weaknesses at display here. While I stand by my rating, this could grow on me even further.



With that being said, 'June Gloom' has been a favorite of mine since the day the album was out and I am still baffled by its lukewarm reception.
