Yeah ‘Missed the Boat’ would be third in my list of favourites here, that style really works for them, I don’t mind them doing some commercial indie stuff

This and Good News are my most listened to mouse

Good News has some belters on it like World at Large, Bukowski and Float On, plus some deep cuts in Tetons and Bury Me With It...but the rest I can take or leave really.
This album could possibly shed two or three but there's something I like about it as a whole where 'Good News' I find a bit of a slog.

Band for the most part is slog city

The debut is officially a 'classic debut'....but it's also a total slog to listen to in one sitting! In a way the biggest slog out of any MM album.
I'd say this one is the least slog because it's got the gloss but a bit more punch than the near equally glossy 'Good News'. Johnny Marr killed the slog?
'Moon and Antarctica' has a 'sloggy middle' but even the sloggy middle is quality ('The Cold Part' and 'Stars are Projectors' are A LOT of chilly slow back to back). 'Out of Gas' to 'Shit Luck' is a little road bump on 'Lonesome'.

Aside from their last few maybe, Good News is my least favorite. First couple songs start things off great, but then other than The View, the rest doesn’t do much for me.
