Romance is boring is certainly not.

I like this record. it reminds me of a party where everyone gets just wasted enough to run around pantsless. And I love it.

Just want to point out something: LC! isn't Welsh by nationality; they're 100% British. They all went to school together in Wales and that's where the band pretty much formed, so it's a common misconception.
Anyway, love the album, love them live (they're sweethearts irl), great review.

yah i know they're ENGLISH but i think the proper way to refer to them is still as a welsh band, i dont really know why. if i'm wrong it's out of stupidity not ignorance.

"How do you feel about generally being thought of as a Welsh band?
Can't complain. Wales has been good to us, and the band itself was born and raised in Wales. As a proud English football fan though, I'm always keen to point out I'm not actually Welsh. G"
and
"Has anyone ever spelled your home country of Wales, as Whales? I saw that in an essay I was marking and it was so annoying, so it must be even more annoying for Welsh people! xxx
Could be annoying. Perhaps as annoying as being an Englishman and being called Welsh, right? ;) G"

sorry about my mistake, but I guess that's more of what I meant...

Well, yeah, if someone called me Welsh I'd quickly correct them too. But, for example, you call the German football team 'the German football team' even though Miroslav Klose and Podolski are both Polish. And you call Arsenal an English club even though they have about 3 English players.

Don't think it's as good as their old stuff.
Yes, more mature and the brass instruments are great addition but it lacks the charm of their older albums.

Believe me Adam, I've listened to this album a lot. :P
But some songs really don't work for me.
Songs like 'Who Fell Asleep In' are far too tired when compared to similar songs on their 2008 releases; for example 'You'll Need Those Fingers For Crossing' is the perfect example of what a slow Los Campesinos! song should sound like.
Granted, the lyrics on the Romance Is Boring album are far better then anything they have written before but the music is far too thick than their old stuff.
Listening to Los Campesinos! I like a sugar rush of fun but you don't really get it from Romance Is Boring. :/
